Butterflies

I wanted to make some embellishments to match a project I am working on.  I had some wonderful wood veneer butterflies in my stash.  I started with painting them the same color as I had painted my background on my project.  I wanted the butterflies to match but not blend into the background so I needed to add dimension and texture to them.

Step 1: Coat with Deco Art Vintage chalk paint and let dry.
Step 2: Stamp with Ranger Sepia dye ink with a script stamp.
Step 3: Coat with a thick coat of Ranger Rock Candy Distress Crackle Paint.
Step 4:  Ink edges with the Sepia Dye ink
Step 5:  Add pearls.
